DGNB Platinum Certificate
A early as October 2011, the RiemHotels project, with a total of 535 rooms, was awarded the best sustainability rating for a hotel project for the first time, the DGNB Gold (since 2016 "Platinum") pre-certificate. From the beginning, the RiemHotels’ maxim was to achieve sustainability in three core aspects: economic efficiency, user comfort and ecology. The resulting innovative solutions allow for energy savings without loss of quality.

Quotes from the opening ceremony
Thomas Schumacher, CEO, Fondara Immobilien AG: “With the high-quality architecture of the RiemHotels, a new building complex is being built at the main entrance to the Messestadt Riem, which will fill this prominent spot with new life and do justice to its special location in terms of quality. The shortage of hotel beds near the trade fair will be somewhat alleviated with the two hotels and high occupancy rates can be expected from the start.”
Klaus Dittrich, Chairman of the Board, Messe München International: “Even more hotel capacities in the immediate vicinity - that is excellent news for the trading place Munich. Every year, around two million visitors and congress guests come to our signature trade fairs and guest events on the exhibition grounds and in the ICM - International Congress Center Munich. The new hotels, located within walking distance from the west entrance of the trade fair grounds, will help us with the acquisition of other attractive congresses and company events. Here we are competition with many other national and international cities and have to offer an attractive overall package. In many cases, this not only includes the event space, but also the availability of hotel beds.”
